Registration

There are two categories for registration:

NOVICE

If you are new to either archery or running, or both, you are a novice. Check the "training" tab for help with setting up a pre-event archery lesson to cover some basic bow handling and safety, or to get a running training plan. We'll provide the bows for this division, so you don't need to worry about the equipment.

COMPETITIVE

If you are comfortable shooting targets and running, this is the place for you. You will provide your own bow.

In both categories, you will run with your bow in your hand, but the arrows will stay at your designated target lane. You'll run just under 5K (3.1 miles), with the first loop being the longest (3/4 mile). After that first loop, you will shoot 3 arrows, run again, shoot 3 more arrows, run AGAIN, shoot a final three arrows, and run to complete! The running is on paths through the woods and fields, flat, and very scenic. Shooting takes place in one area, and you will shoot from the same lane each time you shoot. For each missed shot, you will perform one penalty lap (less than 100m) before continuing.
